Scheme for Fellowship to Researchers

The Akademi instituted the scheme of Fellowship in 1973 for aiding research and advanced training in various fields of performing art, fine art and old Manipuri literature etc. The Fellowship is tenable for two years and each fellowship holder is paid an amount of Rs. 2,500/- per month and another amount of Rs. 2,500/- per month is paid to his or her guide/guru. At present, the Akademi annually selects 15 individuals for this scheme.
