This award is annually conferred on two Manipuri artists for their distinguished artworks in various fields of visual art including Painting, Sculpture, Graphics, Drawing, Photography etc. Like the other awards, this award also carries a cash value of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) only, a Memento and Certificate of Honour.
