This award is annually conferred on six young and promising artistes belonging to the age group of 18 to 40 years as a symbol of encouragement and in recognition of their talents and contributions in various fields of performing art. Apart from an amount of Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty-five thousand) only, the Award carries a Memento and Certificate of Honour.
