Besides the regular feature programmes, the Akademi organises, from time to time, other programmes on the recommendations of the Standing Committees and approval by the General Council. Some of these programmes include Festival of Nata Sankirtana, Festival of Classical Music, Festival of Thang-Ta, Festival of Narrative Art, Festival of Folk Art, seminars, symposiums, workshops etc.

Manipur State Kala Akademi also organises several programmes in collaboration with the National Akademis as well as the zonal cultural bodies. With Sangeet Natak Akademi, it has successfully organised major events such as Festival of Folk and Traditional Art and Nritya Sanrachna – A Festival of Choreographic Works. With Sahitya Akademi, it has organised several literary events such as Kathasandhi, Kavisandhi and Meet the Author besides several seminars and symposiums. Likewise, it has collaborated with Lalit Kala Akademi in organising several art workshops and camps as well as exhibitions including the Manipur State Art Exposition which aims at encouraging young and upcoming artists of Manipur.      

The Akademi also works in collaboration with local cultural bodies of repute in organising few events such as Short Play Competition for Creative Directors, Kha Manipur Drama Festival and State Level Recitation and Quiz Competitions etc.
